}}The BR Mark 1 Full Brake (BG) did not contain passenger seating. The central Guard's area was flanked by large luggage compartments at each end of the carriage. Passengers could pass through the carriage via a gangway along one side.
==81013 in service and preservationService==Full Gangwayed Brake (BG) 81013 E81013 was built at York in 1956 to diagram number 711 of lot 30173.<ref>Railway Heritage Register Carriage Survey</ref> At some point before withdrawal by BR it It was renumbered E84013 in June 1983, before being withdrawn from service in July 1986.<ref>[[Bibliography#Other References|Longworth (2013)]] p.197.</ref> ==Preservation==84013. It arrived on the SVR from Thornton Fields via Ely in November 1987 having been acquired by SVR(H)in response to a request from Arley for two BGs to be converted for use as Santa's Grottos.<ref>SVR Stock Book 9th Edition</ref> <ref>SVR News 87/88</ref>  It was repainted in winter 1996/97 into its as-new 1957 livery of all over carmine unlined,<ref>SVR News 121</ref> and received a further repaint in Spring 2002.<ref>SVR News 139</ref>
It was re-modelled and repainted in 2011, including removal and plating over of two pairs of double doors on each side. It is in Post Office Maroon livery, and is normally stored at Kidderminster, being used as [[Santa's Grotto]] at [[Arley]] during December. It is owned by [[Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) PLC | SVR(H)]].
