Goods Wagons

707261 began life as a Container Flat (CONFLAT A), built by BRBritish Rail or British Railways at Ashford in 1957.[1] It was later converted for use as a crane runner for Hand Crane GWR 446, the crane and runner being numbered I/U 060982 and 060983 respectively.[2]

The hand crane and crane runner arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway in December 1982 from Bristol, having been acquired by The GWR 813 Preservation Fund.[3] Both are stored in the ‘Bewdley Triangle’, the junction of the Stourport Branch and the present day SVRSevern Valley Railway south of Bewdley.
