}}4593 is a BR Mk 1 Tourist Second Open (TSO) No 4593 was built in 1956 . The ‘Open Second’ seats 64 passengers at York tables, with three cross-vestibules to diagram number 93 lot number 30243enable speedier loading and unloading of passengers.
In ==Service and preservation==4593 was built at York in 1957 to diagram number 93 (AC204), lot number 30243. It went into service on the Eastern Region in January 1957, where it remained apart from a brief allocation to the West region between September 1985and April 1986.<ref name=Longworth>[[Bibliography#Other References|Longworth (2013)]] p.57.</ref> During the 1985 allocation, 4593 and class mate [[BR 4345 Tourist Standard Open|4345]] formed part of the GW 150 exhibition set used by BR, for which they received commemorative tables and other modifications to the interior decor.<ref>SVR Stock Book Ninth Edition</ref>
