}}BR Mk 1 First Open (FO) No 3103 was built in 1961 at Wolverton to diagram number 73 (AD103), lot number 30648<ref name=Longworth>[[Bibliography#Other References|Longworth (2013)]] p.42.</ref> 128 of these vehicles were built 1954-1964, the earliest open to diagram 71 had end doors only, but this diagram had two saloons separated by a cross gangway with centre doors. It was fitted with Commonwealth bogies from new.
