Those in the Western and Southern regions seated eight per compartment, while those on Midland and Eastern routes seated six per compartment. Early examples featured veneered walls, while later batches used formica laminates. 25498 arrived on the SVR in May 1983 from Heaton, having been bought by the L.M.S. & B.R. Coach Fund. It was overhauled and received a full repaint in 2000, and is a regular in Set C, the BR Crimson & Cream running set. It is now owned by The [[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd | SVR Charitable Trust]].
