Those in 1957 at Wolverton to diagram number 146 lot number 30349the Western and Southern regions seated eight per compartment, while those on Midland and Eastern routes seated six per compartment. Early examples featured veneered walls, while later batches used formica laminates. Lot 30349 was unique in having single-bolster bogiesThe SKs were an early candidate for withdrawal, being replaced by Mark 2 Open, but 25346 has since been fitted with standard bogiesHST sets and Networker Turbo units<ref name = StockBook>SVR Stock Book 9th edition</ref><ref name = SVRCT>SVR Charitable Trust</ref>.
It ==Service and preservation==25346 was preserved built in 19821957 at Wolverton to Diagram 146 (AA201), Lot 30349. As built, 25346 was fitted with Mk2 'Madison Modified' bogies with plain bearings, and last overhauled in 2010although it has since been fitted with standard bogies. It is seen photographed entered service in the London Midland region in March 2015 as part of August 1957, transferring to the BR Maroon setEastern region in June 1977. It is owned by the <ref>[[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd Bibliography#Other References| SVR Charitable TrustLongworth (2013)]]pp.137-8.</ref> It was overhauled at York just before being withdrawn in 1982, from where it was acquired by the LMS and BR Coach Fund.
Its appearance was improved 25346 began life on the SVR in mid-2016 by a "quick InterCity blue and grey livery, before being repainted into its original Carmine and Cream in 1984. A further repaint". It remains in BR into Maroon liverytook place in 2002.<ref name = SVRCT/>
It was last overhauled in 2010, and is seen photographed in March 2015 as part of the BR Maroon set. It is now owned by the [[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd | SVR Charitable Trust]].
