- 1968 The Severn Valley Railway Society and Manchester Rail Travel Society jointly organised a repeat 'North West Tour', running between Birmingham and Liverpool. Six steam locos were used.[1]
- 2015 A Pump Trolley Challenge took place between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade, with 13 teams of volunteers in fancy dress taking part.
