  • 1771 Richard Trevithick was born. A replica of his locomotive Catch Me Who Can is under construction at Bridgnorth.[1]
  • 1961 Future resident 4930 Hagley Hall received a new boiler during her last heavy general overhaul at Swindon.[2]
  • 1991 Stanier mogul 42968, then numbered LMS 2968, entered service following a 17 year restoration from ex-Barry condition.[3]
  • 2001 A First Great Western HST operated an excursion from Barnstaple to Bridgnorth and return.[4]
  • 2012 The Parliamentary All-Party Rail Heritage Group enjoyed a day at the railway.[5]
  • 2015 HRH The Princess Royal visited the SVR[6].
