Talk:Diesel locomotives at the SVR in preservation

Revision as of 17:03, 29 April 2024 by Patrick Hearn (talk | contribs)

New page updated. Does not (yet) include Class 41/43 power cars but otherwise more or less complete. It coould do with a fresh pair of eyes! Edit: For consistency it needs the named locos formatting changed so 08769 [D3937] Gladys becomes 08769 Gladys [D3937] --Patrick Hearn (talk) 20:23, 28 April 2024 (UTC)

Wow! Thanks. Not my area of expertise I hasten to add. A couple of thoughts. Wondering if it is worth sub-dividing the Mainline into BR power classifications ('BR Type 1', 'BR Type 2', 'BR Type 3', "Modern traction" etc). Also under the 'not included' headings would be incoming railtours (if there have been any - see also steam for the same thought). I'll have a bit more of a detailed look when I have a chance. --Robin (talk) 14:50, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
A good idea!
I too had incoming railtours in mind. NB where we've said Kidderminster as the trigger for including them, I wonder whether BY would be better? I've had 2 * class 25s to [EDIT]Bewdley South before D1013 took over.--Patrick Hearn (talk) 16:57, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
