141 Breakdown Tool Van 141 was built at Swindon in 1908. In service these 6-wheel Tool Vans carried a large selection of equipment and lifting tackle, and were paired with Riding/Dormitory Vans such as GWR89. They were vacuum-braked to permit fast running to the scene of accidents and breakdowns on the railway.
141 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway from Newton Abbot in February 1971. It is photographed in March 2015 situated in the yard at Bewdley.
