12:09, 20 December 2022 The site of the sugar beet factory at Foley Park covered 65 acres, and the contractors, T. Vale & Co., commenced work in February 1925. At the same time, the GWR put in a temporary siding to convey plant and materials directly to site. By July of that year, permanent siding accommodation for about 118 wagons had been built and opened for traffic.<ref>Great Western Railway Magazine, September 1926</ref>
