Goods Lock Up
A [https://www.facebook.com/111506607237661/photos/pb.100066631855473.-2207520000/170624984659156/?type=3 photo dated to 1954 and published in 2020 on the Eardington FB site] seems to show recent evidence of a removed building in the position described. It's supposition, but I suspect that might narrow down the removal date. ::Useful, thanks. I've also not found a photo with the Lock Up in situ. It wasn't present in a photograph taken circa 1910 in [[Bibliography#Books|Vanns (1998) p.58]] and [[Bibliography#Books|Mitchell and Smith (2007) fig.61]] so the installation post-dated that. The same photo appears to show the running in board closer to the station building than later photos, so it was presumably moved to allow space for the Lock Up. The 1954 photo probably helps confirm the removal as some time after the station became unstaffed in 1949. --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 12:19, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
