Keith Norton (b. April 1955) became a Charitable Trust trustee in April 2021 and quickly became chairman from 2021-2022. He succeeded interim chairman Peter Copsey and in turn was succeeded by Tim Hargest.
He became a volunteer in 2017 and helped general manager Helen Smith with a new strategy for the SVRSevern Valley Railway. He is a former management consultant and an experienced trustee and non-executive director with significant experience at board level in the areas of managing change, business strategy and human resources.[1]
Other positions held have included a trustee of the Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcestershire), non-executive director of Gloucestershire Hospitals' NHS Foundation Trust and chair of the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury.
Apart from railways, his other interests include science, music and literature.
