A definitive source for 4F
I'm sure I read somewhere the power classification had been wrongly published and the error had been perpetuated. Can anyone comment authoritatively, and reference it (and the error) in the article please? Thanks --Patrick Hearn (talk) 14:24, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
:I suspect I got 4F for the original article from the Bookazine "British Steam Preserved", whose author was Keith Langston as above. Classic British Steam Locomotives (ISBN 1-86147-138-6) also goes with 3F in line with Wikipedia / Ian Allen. I'd be happy to change it to 3F as being the more likely, pending definitive information.--Robin (talk) 15:48, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
I have changed it, referencing both. Thanks--Patrick Hearn (talk) 19:12, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

:I have now found some definitive information, courtesy of Michael Clemens website. The document Midlands Division (Ex WR) & Gloucester District - Locomotive Route Availability (Branch Lines)- June 1963 confirms that BR(W) rated the 57xx as 4F. I will update the article accordingly.
