:A mile and a half from Wyre Forest station towards Bewdley and next to the railway would certainly be on the Tenbury Branch. The [https://maps.nls.uk/view/101585854 1925 OS Map (1925 revision)] doesn't show anything in that area; it would be roughly where the words "Tenbury Branch" appear on the map. If any significant mining had taken place in the 1900s, it would surely have used the railway but I've seen nothing to suggest it did in articles on mining in the area or railway publications. I suspect they may have sunk a borehole to test for coal but gone no further than that. I'm not sure the GWR would have been very happy with a mine being that close to the railway either! ::The exact wording for the location is given as "...the spot where the boring is to be made is within a few yards of the railway on the Rock side of the line and in the parish of Rock, being just outside the far-extending boundary of the borough of Bewdley.", which I would estimate to be around SO 753764.
