It is a 225 foot 4-wheel 4-plank long wheelbase open wagonwith a capacity of 14 tons, designed to carry steel pipes. It originally had the telegraphic code 'Open C', built at Swindon in 1921 for use by later re-coded ‘Tube’ during the GWR Signal Dept1940s. It was used acquired for transporting signal posts and similar equipment. It was preserved in 1971preservation from Wolverton Carriage Works, arriving on the SVR in on 5 May 1972 from Danygraig (near Swansea).
