I've modified the May (and other) day pages so that the categories are sorted properly by date. The following category entry on e.g. the May 3 page will sort it on the Category page as if it were named "May 03", placing it alphabetically before May 10-29:
[[Category:On this day in May|May 03]]
The page name is still displayed as May 3 --Danny252 (talk) 12:32, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
