Worcester Road Bridge

Worcester Road Bridge (Bridge 2) is situated on the Kidderminster Loop Line and carries the SVR over the A442 Worcester Road. The narrow span of the brick arch, just 30ft in width, creates a bottle neck in the dual carriageway.

The original 1874 Loop Line specification and contract quoted a mileage pf 2m 26.72 Chs from Bewdley South junction towards Kidderminster.

The Loop, like the Severn Valley Branch, was laid out with bridges wide enough for a double track formation, but only a single track was laid.

It is a popular photographic location.
