The '''Warwickshire Railway Society''' was particularly active in the 1960s. During that decade it organised a number of [[Warwickshire Railway Society#Railtours|rail tours, such as "The Hants & Dorset Rail Tour" on 5 September 1965.<ref>[http://www.sixbellsjunction.co.uk/60s/650905.html Six Bells Junction]</ref>]. The Society also published the book "Industrial Steam Locomotives of Central England" by RC Evans in 1969.
