The Box Of Delights is a BBC children's drama series produced in 1984 starring Devin Stanfield, Patrick Troughton and Robert Stephens. It was based on the 1935 book by the then-Poet Laureate John Masefield, and was largely filmed on location in his home county of Herefordshire.
The series opens with a shot of an SVRSevern Valley Railway train hauled by loco 3205, and the first episode also includes scenes shot on platform 2 of Bewdley station, and in the driveway of Arley station. Between the two, a key scene occurs inside the compartment of a moving train travelling from Highley to Arley.
