History

The Severn Valley Railway Association began a 100 club in 1983.[1] By 1991 it had become "The 125 Club"[2] with another change to "The 150 Club" from January 1995.[3] By winter 1997-98 it had become "The 200 Club"[4], in which form it has operated since.

In 2015 the Severn Valley Railway Association merged with the Guarantee Company.

Colin Clark has run the 200 Club since 1991[5].

Membership and raffles

In return for a small monthly membership fee, members can win one of five monthly cash prizes with an enhanced draw held at Christmas. All profits are reinvested in volunteer projects throughout the railway.

From time to time vacancies in the Club are advertised in SVR News and supporters' newsletters.[5][6] Otherwise, there is no public communication.
