It is also the oldest known surviving and only complete example of over 18,000 four plank open wagons built by the Southern Railway as a Parcels GWR between 1886 and Miscellaneous Van or “PMV”1902. It was built at Ashford circa 1935-36bought by [[The GWR 813 Preservation Fund]] in 1984 from Sharpness Docks, and was used to carry livestock, newspapers, mail and parcels. After leaving revenue-earning service where it is believed it was used as a tool and mess van for point heater fitters before had been since being moved to Cohen’s Scrap Yard at Kingsburycondemned by the GWR in 1935.
