Changes

The SVR can call on a working fleet of approximately 8 {{PAGESINCATEGORY:Operational steam locomotives}} [[:Category:Operational steam locomotives|steam locomotives]], 4 {{PAGESINCATEGORY:Operational passenger hauling diesel locomotives}} [[:Category:Operational passenger hauling diesel locomotives|passenger hauling diesel locomotives, ]] and a 5 car (3+2) DMU. There are also {{PAGESINCATEGORY:Operational diesel shunters}} [[:Category:Operational diesel shunters|working diesel shunters]], approximately 65 operational carriages , and several many goods wagons.

There are several more Other steam and diesel locomotives, both steam carriages and diesel wagons are currently undergoing long term repairrestoration and overhaul. A list of these may be found [[Rolling stock currently under restoration | '''here''']].

The carriages are normally operated as five rakes of 7 or 8 carriages; one rake each of BR maroon (set M), GWR chocolate & cream (set GGW2), BR crimson & cream (set C), LNER teak (set N) and LMS maroon (set L), plus a five four carriage GWR chocolate & cream diner set (set S). The letters shown are used to identify the sets in working timetables etc.
