This is the shortest tunnel on the SVR, and is numbered as Bridge 32. It is located between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade, just north of milepost 149, between Bridgnorth Down Distant and Down Outer Home signals. In common with other portions of the original Severn Valley Line it was built to accommodate a double track at a later date, so has much more clearance than other tunnels. Insufficient traffic materialised to justify the widening to a double track.
