  • 1969 Last public appearance at Longmoor Military Railway of LMR 600 Gordon.
  • 1975 A celebration evening was held at Castle Hall in Bridgnorth to mark the 10th anniversary of the Severn Valley Railway Society[1]
  • 1980 The automatic crossing at Northwood Halt was commissioned.[2]
  • 2003 A BBC drama Hearts of Gold was first broadcast, part of which had been filmed at Bridgnorth, posing as Pontypridd.
