95353 was built at Swindon in 1916 to Diagram V16. It is a typical 'Mink A' covered goods van with a 10-ton capacity, the 'A' indicating that is is fitted with ventilators.
85353 95353 was previously preserved at the Rutland Railway Museum (now known as 'Rocks by Rail'). In February 2014 it was acquired by [[The GWR 813 Preservation Fund]] as part of a three-way exchange by which the RRM acquired the [[The 2857 Society]]’s [[Wagons formerly resident on the SVR | LMS Ore Hopper 691804]], and the 2857 Society received an appropriate financial benefit.<ref>[httphttps://forum.svrasvr-online.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3086&highlight=95353 SVR Forum thread]</ref>
