==Service==
14984 was built in 1902 to Diagram CC.3, Lot 453.<ref>[[Bibliography#Other References|Atkins, Beard & Tourret (2013)]] p. 39</ref> 22 of these vans were built between 1902 and 1912, the design being based on the Iron Mink of the period but with a 6-wheel configuration and 24ft 6in body. It included windows in the sides and ends and skylights in the roof. Internally it was fitted with oil lamps and equipped with work benches and lockers<ref>[[Bibliography#Other References|Atkins, Beard & Tourret (2013)]] pp. 490-492</ref>.

==Preservation==
The van arrived at Tyseley (formerly Birmingham Railway Museum) from Oxford in April 1978 and is a unique vehicle.<ref>[http://www.ws.rhrp.org.uk/ws/WagonInfo.asp?Ref=8715 Railway Heritage Register Wagon Survey] (Retrieved 18 August 2024)</ref> It arrived on the SVR on 18 February 2019, having been acquired by [[Kidderminster Railway Museum|The Kidderminster Railway Museum Trust]] as a long term restoration project.<ref>[https://www.national-preservation.com/threads/rolling-stock-movements.7891/page-21 National Preservation Forum]</ref>
