GWR Siphon G Bogie Milk Van 1257

This outside framed GWR Milk Van (PMVG), telegraphic code 'Siphon G', was built by Metro Cammell[1] in 1927 to diagram number O11. It is classified as Non Passenger Carrying Coaching Stock (NPCCS). Prior to preservation it was also in Departmental use as No DW 079060.

The coach was purchased from Wantage Road near Didcot, arriving on the SVR in March 1976. It is believed to be the only remaining outside framed example.[2] It has previously seen use as Santa's grotto and as a mobile store. It was photographed at Bewdley in March 2015. It is owned by the Great Western (SVR) Association
