Several items on the SVR have at times been capital stock on the London Underground, under the London Transport Board, London Underground Limited or other incarnations of LU.

In addition to the below No 1: Metropolitan Railway Clark E class 0-4-4T has visited the SVR both for a gala and high speed testing.

A number of SVR-based locomotives and stock have been involved in events such as 'Steam on the Met', these are not included here.
