Pan Pudding Hill was used to attack Bridgnorth Castle on other occasions, and finally in 1646 by Cromwell’s Parliamentarians during the English Civil War. In 2000 the TV series 'Time Team' visited Bridgnorth to investigate the area around St Mary’s Church.
