707261 is paired with GWR Hand Crane 446

707261 began life as a Container Flat (CONFLAT A), built by BR at Ashford in 1957. It was later converted for use as a crane runner.

It arrived on the SVR in December 1982 from Bristol, having been acquired by The GWR 813 Preservation Fund. It is stored in the ‘Bewdley Triangle’, the junction of the Stourport Branch and the present day SVR south of Bewdley, where it is paired with Hand Crane GWR 446.
