Since its formation in 1965, the Severn Valley Railway has won many awards from various railway, heritage, tourism or other organisations.

Mention should also be made of Arley Station Master, Mr. George Batchelor, who was awarded several prizes by The Great Western Railway in the early 1900s for the gardens at Arley Station.[2]
