Since its formation in 1965, the Severn Valley Railway has won a number of awards from various heritage, railway or other organisations.
- 1982 Highley: Best preserved station
- 1987 Kidderminster: Best Preserved Station
- 1995 BR Mark 1 Gangwayed Full Brake (BG) 80776: Association of Railway Preservation Societies, Coach of the Year
- 2007 Northwood Halt pagoda shelter: National Heritage Railways Awards, The G.N.E.R. Volunteers Award
- 2007 Bewdley South signal box: National Heritage Railways Awards, The Westinghouse Signalling Award
