*1949 [[Eardington|Eardington station]] became unstaffed, although BR did not reduce the station to halt status.
*1951 [[List of signal boxes#List of historical Signal Boxes and Ground Frames|Stourport South signal box]] was taken out of use by BR.
*[[Severn Valley Railway Timeline 1970-1979#19745|1974]] Bridgnorth was demoted to rural borough status, losing its powers to spend money maintaining the [[Bridgnorth#Footbridge outside Bridgnorth Station|footbridge outside the station]]. The bridge was demolished in 1976 and not replaced until 1994.
