Summary
Referring to the Bewdley South signal box diagram, this photo shows;
On the left, for trains approaching from the former Stourport line;
- Top, signal 5 for the DownIn reference to the direction of travel means away from the major terminus (i.e. towards Bridgnorth on the present day SVR) Main
- Middle, fixed distant
- Bottom, signal 20 for the Goods Loop & yard.
On the right, for trains approaching on the main line from Kidderminster;
- Left, signal 9 for the Goods Loop
- Middle top, signal 6 for the DownIn reference to the direction of travel means away from the major terminus (i.e. towards Bridgnorth on the present day SVR) Main
- Middle bottom, DownIn reference to the direction of travel means away from the major terminus (i.e. towards Bridgnorth on the present day SVR) Main Distant controlled by Bewdley North Box
- Right top, signal 7 for the Back Road
- Right bottom, fixed distant.
- On the small bracket is signal 14 for the Rock Siding
In the distance can be seen the two Back Road Homes, 28 for Stourport & 31 for Kidderminster which is still set to clear as the photo was taken from the rear of a train which has just left the Back Road for Kidderminster.
