GWR 9085 First Sleeper

Revision as of 20:59, 28 May 2015 by Robin (talk | contribs) (add note that one of the three First Sleepers has since left)
9085 at Arley

9085 was built in 1951, one of a small batch of four sleeping cars built to this design for the London to Milford Haven route. All four carriages survived into preservation, with three of them originally finding a home on the SVR ( 9084 is still on the SVR, 9082 has since moved to Crewe Heritage Centre[1]).

9085 is normally parked at the end of Siding 2 at Arley station, where it is used for staff accommodation.
