GWR 601 1Ton 10cwt Hand Crane
Revision as of 06:18, 21 July 2018 by Graham Phillips 110 (talk | contribs) (Remove As Of from things that are unlikely to change in the near future.)
Although the GWR registers held at the National Railway Museum record this crane as being built in 1892, the register also states that it was rebuilt from a broad gauge crane of unknown build date inherited from the Cornwall Railway when it was incorporated in to the GWR in 1889. This make it one of the oldest GWR vehicles in preservation.[1][2]
The crane was acquired by The GWR 813 Preservation Fund in 1982 and is on display adjacent to Kidderminster Railway Museum.
