The [[Eardington | station]] had a goods loop, reduced to a siding in 1959accessed from the south. The station had no signal box and was unstaffed after 1949. The crossing keeper operated two signals, one in each direction, to indicate to approaching trains that the crossing was clear. The crossing was later reduced from manned status.
