On December 29 in SVRSevern Valley Railway history.
- 1857 After difficulty raising the necessary capital, a Special General Meeting authorised the directors of the Severn Valley Railway Company to apply for a bill to abandon plans to build the Railway.[1]
- 1904 A GWR Steam Railmotor was trialled between Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport.
- 1984 Class 50 No 50007 'Sir Edward Elgar' visited the SVRSevern Valley Railway with the 'Thames Severn Pullman' rail tour.[2] The loco is now owned by The Class 50 Alliance.
- 1991 Miss Marple: They Do It with Mirrors was first broadcast. It featured scenes filmed at Bewdley earlier in the year using former resident 6960 Raveningham Hall.
- 2001 SR 34027 Taw Valley took the Cannon of Kent railtour from Finsbury Park to Margate, but stalled on the North London incline when leaving London[3][4].
