I've been involved with the SVR since 1973. In those early days I recall, on a number of occasions, catching the train to Hampton Loade to then walk through the section to work on Highley signal box. In those days one could simply ask where is "The Train" as Bridgnorth to Hampton Loade was the only operational section. Having done various jobs on the railway in all those years I've descended to the role of pattern-maker. In addition to that I also undertake some of the joinery jobs other are far too intelligent to want to tackle.
