Spelling of Eymore
Water taken from the River Severn is stored in the reservoir, and at times of peak demand is used to supplement the supply from the Elan Valley Aqueduct. The treatment plant is located on the opposite side of the line with water carried by the Trimpley Pipe Bridge.
The reservoir is open to the public. It is used by the Trimpley Sailing Club, while other activities include angling, wildlife watching and walking. A public footpath between the reservoir and Eyemore Eymore Wood crosses the SVR via a gated foot crossing.
