In the distant past I heard it suggested that casting of the girders for the Albert Edward bridge was well underway when the original SVR Co changed the route through Bridgnorth so an alternative use was found for them but I have no proof of this.
:Thanks for raising this point. After asking for further information on the SVR Facebook page, I was sent copies of parts of the original drawings for the bridge, which clearly show the double track width, and which I have now added to the page. --[[User:Graham Phillips 110|Graham Phillips 110]] ([[User talk:Graham Phillips 110|talk]]) 10:59, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
