Talk:UIC classification

It is well documented that OVS Bulleid used a mixed derivative of the Whyte and UIC notations as part of the number of his Pacifics when first built. i.e. 21Cxxx. Is it worth including a note to this effect on these two topics? Boldford (talk) 07:23, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

I would. It'd be nice to think of this wiki becoming a general source of railway information, so I'd say be as comprehensive as possible and don't limit articles to SVR specifics. The signalling articles are a good example of this. On a personal note, I'm wondering why an 0-6-0 is a C, but an 0-4-0 is not a B...

An 0-4-0 *is* a B! 0-4-0s aren't mentioned in the article at present though. --WillSalt (talk) 08:51, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
