Talk:Railway Navvies of the SVR

Graham, this is good stuff. I guess you're using OCR? Some of the copying is off, e.g. "be did not know what with," Happy to correct the misreadings if you want, but I don't have the originals. Let me know please. Thanks--Patrick Hearn (talk) 08:32, 14 October 2019 (UTC)

My suggestion would be to edit anything which is obviously a typo or OCR error or where editing would improve the sense, such as the example above, but to leave anything which may be an archaic spelling. Also for Graham, if you find the full text of the Berrow's Worcester Journal articles briefly mentioned by Marshall, please feel free to add/edit accordingly.--Robin (talk) 13:40, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
Minor misspellings corrected--Patrick Hearn (talk) 15:52, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
I've been screenshotting the newspaper images and running them through a free on line OCR. I then proof read the output, although obviously not as thoroughly as I could, so yes, please carry on correcting any OCR errors I have missed. The only "errors" I have found in the originals are archaic spellings of 'Areley' and 'Sambourne'.--Graham Phillips 110 (talk) 20:47, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
