Talk:Gradient profile and mileages

Mostly as a reminder to myself, there are several "authentic" gradient diagrams in signal boxes along the line that might make nice additions to this page, and Hampton Loade (I think?) has one for the Bridgnorth-Shrewsbury section as a bonus. --Danny252 (talk) 19:18, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

It has been puzzling me for some time that the OSOrdnance Survey maps at the turn of the century show mileposts which do not come close to matching the ELRs, being almost half a mile from where they should be. It just occurred to me that the reason might be because the reversal might have been at Bewdley rather than Kidderminster. Measuring the relevant distances on that basis appears to be a perfect fit, hence the somewhat speculative note I have added. Any firm evidence to support this assumption would be welcome.--Robin (talk) 16:47, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
