Talk:Carriages visiting the SVR

The ERS mk2 set visiting for the diesel gala is said to be ten coaches including - reported elsewhere so 2nd hand information - ‪6059 9497 5960 3385‬ ‪5989 5906 6168 5866‬ 9500. This might not be complete/correct but if anyone is around please can they check numbers and the appropriate liveries? They will then need to be loaded on here. Thanks --Patrick Hearn (talk) 16:00, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

As you might've already noticed, that's 9, not 10! However, Sharpo's video of the arrival confirms that it was only 9 and those numbers are correct: [1] --Danny252 (talk) 18:38, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
I'd counted! It was announced as ten to run 6 and 4 coach rakes. I have added build dates and location and links for the nine vehicles. They will need individual adding from the links I have set up, 9500 is set up as a template if people would like to check it. It can then be used as a template for the others--Patrick Hearn (talk) 23:26, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
The number does seem to have been quite uncertain - for a while the TNs were saying that 8 coaches were arriving to somehow make up 6+4. Also, thanks for correcting my very strange mistake of claiming they were all Mk3 coaches... --Danny252 (talk) 06:29, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Tornado Support Coach March 2018

Is Tornado's support coach for the SSG 2018 still 21249? I imagine so, but don't have proof. --Danny252 (talk) 13:15, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Yes it is. It arrived by road and I saw it being unloaded at Kidderminster this morning.--Robin (talk) 20:28, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

LSL Mark 3 Sleepers for temporary storage Nov 2019

To be added when numbers known--Patrick Hearn (talk) 08:40, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

From this week's featured article
Trimpley Reservoir can be seen to the west of the line between Bewdley and Arley. The reservoir, which is managed by Severn Trent Water, was opened in 1968 and covers 29 acres. It is open to the public and is used by the Trimpley Sailing Club, while other activities include angling, wildlife watching and walking. (Full article...)

For 101 years between 1862 and 1963, the Severn Valley Railway formed part of the national railway network, running for 40 miles between Hartlebury and Shrewsbury. Established as a separate company, it was mainly operated by the Great Western Railway (GWRGreat Western Railway) and later by British Railways (BRBritish Rail or British Railways).

The present day Severn Valley Railway (SVRSevern Valley Railway) was established in 1965 to preserve part of the line as a heritage railway. Today it has six stations and two halts and runs for 16 miles along the Severn Valley between Bridgnorth in Shropshire and Kidderminster in Worcestershire, following the course of the River Severn for much of its route. Operations involve a mixture of steam and heritage diesel-hauled services.
