Other steam and diesel locomotives, carriages and wagons are currently undergoing long term restoration and overhaul. A list of these may be found [[Rolling stock currently under restoration | '''here''']].
The carriages are normally operated as five rakes of 7 or 8 carriages; one rake each of BR maroon (set M), GWR chocolate & cream (set GGW2), BR crimson & cream (set C), LNER teak (set N) and LMS maroon (set L), plus a four carriage GWR chocolate & cream diner set (set S). The letters shown are used to identify the sets in working timetables etc.
A number of the goods wagons are used for demonstration freight trains, while others are used by the Permanent Way and Signals & Telegraph Departments for carrying rails, ballast and other materials.
