GWRGreat Western Railway Shed Codes

The Severn Valley and Tenbury branches were mainly served by the following sheds[1]:

Ludlow Sub-shed of Shrewsbury 84 SALOP / SLP Served the Tenbury Branch.[2] Two Tenbury-based daily Kidderminster-Woofferton passenger services were replaced by Diesel railcar services in 1941.[3]
Worcester Worcester Division 215 WOS Diesel railcars in the Kidderminster area were based at Worcester from introduction in 1941, other local sheds having no servicing facilities.[4]
Leominster Sub-shed of Worcester 155 WOS Served the Tenbury Branch[2]

Shortly after nationalisation, the newly formed British Railways devised a system of identifying all locomotive depots by a unique code.
