1963 The final day of through passenger services between Hartlebury and Shrewsbury. BRBritish Rail or British Railways Standard 2-6-4T No 80102 hauled the final 4.10pm northbound service from Hartlebury. The final southbound service was strengthened to four carriages and carried around 200 passengers.^[1] 41207 also operated. Local passenger services ended the following day.
1968 work began to dismantle the box at Pensnett which over the following months would be reassembled at Bridgnorth signal box.^[2]
1978 70000 Britannia undertook a test run to Hampton Loade, prior to her first service runs in preservation.
1986 GWR 4786 Full Third arrived from the Coleham Depot at Shrewsbury
2014 The SVRSevern Valley Railway recreated the SLS special of 19 September 1965 to Alveley Colliery. Locomotives Nos. 1450 and 4566 stood in for former classmates 1420 and 4555.
