  • 1963 The final day of through passenger services between Hartlebury and Shrewsbury. BRBritish Rail or British Railways Standard 2-6-4T No 80102 hauled the final 4.10pm northbound service from Hartlebury. The final southbound service was strengthened to four carriages and carried around 200 passengers.[1] 41207 also operated. Local passenger services ended the following day.
  • 1968 work began to dismantle the box at Pensnett which over the following months would be reassembled at Bridgnorth signal box.[2]
  • 1978 70000 Britannia undertook a test run to Hampton Loade, prior to her first service runs in preservation.
  • 1986 GWR 4786 Full Third arrived from the Coleham Depot at Shrewsbury
  • 2014 The SVRSevern Valley Railway recreated the SLS special of 19 September 1965 to Alveley Colliery. Locomotives Nos. 1450 and 4566 stood in for former classmates 1420 and 4555.
