Rosie and Jim was a children's television programme broadcast on ITV between 1990 and 2000. The eponymous characters are two rag dolls who live aboard a narrowboat called the Ragdoll, which is from Birmingham. They come alive when no one is looking to explore the world that they pass by on the canal, following the boat's owner while remaining unseen.
It was created by John Cunliffe (of Postman Pat fame) and produced by Ragdoll Productions.
Filming on the SVRSevern Valley Railway
Series 1 Episode 19, titled 'Steam', first aired on 21 January 1991 and included film of LMS Stanier 8F 48773 crossing Victoria Bridge. At the time 48773 was in LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway livery with its original LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway number 8233.
